The Bots and the Ban Hammer by lanzaChapter 1On the #1 bot and another
Today, April 24th, as of 15PM GMT, after trying to come up with ways to prevent botting on the game, and trying to find proof that some users use bots, we have found 2 users that use bots for sure:
- Amethyst: Despite not even being in the top page (...), Amethyst fell for a bot trap (twice), which tells us they're a botter.
- mafiaman: Everybody knows about ClickClickMafia botting, but there were no proofs. No one had really bothered to check mafiaman's stats until now. As of now, he's defeated 4166 random bosses. Since the reset, as each random boss takes about 2:23 minutes, the maximum amount of bosses that can have been defeated is 7.875 days * 1440 minutes/day / (2.5 minutes/boss) = 4536. So he's basically been an average of 22 hours a day (~92%). As he's obviously not done that, we've decided he's surely a botter
We've decided to ban these 2 users, but let this be a warning to other suspected botters. We encourage the banned users to get ahold of us if they don't believe they are botting or think our decision is unfair.Chapter 2On the chart
Today, April 28th, another player has been banned, and that's atomaka. Thanks to a tool developed by one of our fellow users, we can monitor the players' activity. If their activity is beyond humanly possible, well, then they're not human. Having said this, here's an image of the top 20 players' activity:
Atomaka is the gray line in the bottom, always spending all he has, not sleeping for over 2 days. Again, if you're using a bot, watch out with us.
Chapter 3
On the old one
Today, April 30th, Psilocin (a.k.a. Haloperidol) has been banned too. Evidence is similar to the one above. However, all the money wasn't spent instantly, but was spent about once an hour.
That is also only doable by a bot. Also, he was taking part in pretty much every Global Boss fight. Halo was, perhaps, the first player that was rumoured to be a bot since the game was brought back. So... I guess that's farewell.

also srry about not being on the front page, my laptop is having this nasty memory leek and ends up not being able to run chrome for several days straight, I might have to go back to the code I was working on for the original A Game to keep from having to do it through a browser

I didn't think it was a secret that we were botting, although it was entertaining that mafiaman was banned only to be replaced at number by another one. At least I can't see another way for someone to have a higher character level and participate in more global bosses than mafiaman did. Anyway, we were just playing for the initial push to hit village and have a war. I had fun being attacked by nearly everyone in range while attacking others to attempt to keep soldiers low and maybe you did too! If anyone is interested in some stats about this, I've logged all attacks against the Click Click Mafia and they are publicly accessible: shielded-dusk-2170.herokuapp.com/ Detailed information per CCM member up until the first time they were cleared of soldiers is also available at that page (greggnic is still available for takedown!). I was mostly just sticking around after that until my PayPal account was reactivated and I could send out a donation. Managed to get it out, but no confirmation since my account is banned (in some new and interesting way!). Hopefully, you got it! Bot code is available to the developers if they're interested in it for whatever reason. Obviously, proof of developer in game is required. |

Okay, so im just going to throw this out there because I dont know if youre sheltered or what, but theres these cool things called "amphetamines" that will keep you up for over 2 days at a time, so I dont really feel like thats a fair thing to judge us by... |

The important part is that he's spending everything without fail every 10 minutes for 2 days straight. While not sleeping for 2 days is perfectly reasonable (for some definition of reasonable), I don't think someone would actually spend that straight block of time playing this game, buying troops without fail.

I bought the next chickenfarmer every ~1-2 hours because I calculated when the next one was available. I simply set an alarm to wake me, so I was able to buy them without losing much time. Also, what are you basing your evidence on? Why would the graphs used by Dragory (member of Chat breakers) not be compromised to my disadvantage? Especially after we successfully won the raid against them today?

Also, comparing me to RonBurguny? Are you freakin serious? A Player constantly insulting other while barely showing any competence in the game itself? This is just plain ridiculous. I know that you're not happy about Pylon crushing you, but this... jeez....
