I had a thought on the non-afk aspect of this game and that it rewards you for getting as many random and global bosses as you can, as the timers are so short on both (in comparison to other incrementals).
The idea I had came to me when I got an XP boost, which has a very long activity time of 60 minutes. I thought that if the other item drops timers were increased to the relative level of the XP boost timer then those that are doing as the game intends, by that I mean attack random and global bosses on cooldown, then those more active players would have a better chance at keeping buffs active.
Rather than it being totally RNG based for the speed of player's progression, as the leaderboards are pretty much dictated by whoever gets the highest amount of good items drop, even if they are doing just as many RB/GB's as everyone else.
Of course this might not be totally "casual" friendly, but even playing a couple hours can net you a good load of RB/GB chances, but if you are only playing a couple hours a day then you shouldn't be hoping for rank 1 anyway.
As always, any feedback or additions are appreciated and encouraged.

I think you should get points (or how you want to name that) that are based on your total money. You get them, when you prestige and you can buy some expensive boosts (very little percentage, maybe 0.1% additionaly per upgade) from that (like opm boost, scientist speed boost), so it isn't the best to prestige as fast as you can.
